Notary Service
A Notary Public is an official who holds a license from the State to carry out duties like witnessing affidavits or statements made by people under oath and authenticating signatures on papers. The act of notarizing a document is significant because it provides an assurance of the legitimacy of the document or of the actions of the signatories.
Thailand doesn’t have any notaries public, however some lawyers are permitted to serve as Notarial Services Attorneys there. The practice of notarial services in the State of Thailand is governed by the Lawyers Council of Thailand. Before becoming recognized as a Notarial Services Attorney in Thailand, a lawyer must take and pass a professional training course for the service.
